I will be soon, but it won't be a sacrifice - it will be declaring my undying love to you!

I will not sacrifice my own happiness for another person. I will compromise, however, but I need to be met half way. Sacrifices though when a young family is making a life for themselves is a must if you want to get anywhere and I only mean that financially. If you want a home and everything that goes along with it, then sacrifices about lifestyle, eg, going out having a good time needs to be modified in order to look at the bigger picture. But those kind of sacrifices are minor when you look at what you gain in the end. Sacrifices on the emotional level...nope, will never do that...I am just as important as my partner...and children are quite capable of compromise too. I think there are cases where people do sacrific something, eg, when your husband is dying and you want to make the rest of his life more comfortable, so you give up your job, you give up your social life in an attemp to make his last time on this earth as happy as you can make it. In those cases, I think they are warranted sacrifices.
