They vary widely. Some are excellent, with very good teachers, and very nice surroundings. Others, in less wealthy areas, are average. And some, unhappily, in very poor areas, have minimal equipment, and instructors who are not highly trained.

I would have to disagree with some of the posters. I live in Mexico and I´ve experienced going to both public and private schools.
Private schools are ridiculously overpriced and the education they give is not better that in the public ones. ( College level).
Of course private schools look better and have better equipment but the level is very low. This happens because most of the high class people is usually to lazy to cope with high education levels and ironically the poorest people are more willing to work hard.

IT all depends, the public schools are run down and lack equipment, they are not so great.if you mean what they actually look like (little prisons)
Most people who are in working family's or have some money pay for there kids to attend a private school, the more money you pay the nicer the school you will attend, these are very good schools where the students receive a great education.

well, i dont know, but my friends some of them ARE from mexico and they have been to schoool in there... They liked it, i guess.. cant say

the books cost thousands of dollars
