This may sound stupid and childlike, but does anyone believe in vampires?

There will never be consensus as to whether or not real vampires exist. Nor, I think, will there ever be consensus as to what a real vampire is.

In my opinion and experience, real vampires do exist. I am a psy-sang vampire. That means I feed on energy, and can draw it from others or from blood. Some vampires only feed on blood, some only on energy from others. Each vampire is different as to their feeding habits and how they determine themselves to be vampires. And, of course, some of the "vampires" are simply those who wish they were Dracula. Real vampires are not the things of myths and legends, but simply people trying to exist.

If you would like more information on vampires, there are several places to look. Specifically, I recommend Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page and SphynxCat's Real Vampires Support Page. Both of those pages are run by women who are very knowledgeable about real vampires, and provide a lot of information about the kinds of vampires. The other group I recommend is ShadowLore, which is an organization that seeks to bring all types of otherkin for support. While it is specifically for all types of otherkin, there are several vampires active in the group.

Hope that answers your question.

Believe me when I say that vampires exist because I am a vampire! I do drink blood of the innocent (after they get a HIV test done first) and I can turn myself into a bat anytime I want. Its not that bad only being able to move around at night as I get to sleep all day in my coffin.

In a way yes vampires are real. Many years ago for a religion (Catholic Grammer School Education) class I had to do a paper on myths and religion.

During that discovery I surmised that vampires are real individuals. Not in the sense that you have to stake them through the heart to kill them. Or keep garlic around.

But consider this. A man, or a women, who is a serial killer is a vampire. In fact, in my research, the ancient Romanian word for Murderer is Vampira.

A man(or a women) who feeds off another we may call a leech or a freeloader, but by definition he/she is a vampire.

A person who extorts money from us is a Vampire. They drain our life's blood till there is nothing left.

According to mythology a Vampire's main lot in life is to seek redemption for his/her past ills. Kind of sounds like prisons

So in a way vampires are real. We just call them a different name.

Vampires are people who drain the energy from other people.
Werewolves are people who have mood swings and delve into their animal side.
Mermaids are women who use their wiles to take what they can from men.
Each mythological beast is sort of a totem for different personality types. We all take from others' in some way or another. Which spiritual Totem are you?

Naw. That's a fairy tale based on the legend of Vlad Tepish, better known as Vlad the Impaler, a Prince of Romania, because he used to impale defeated warriors on sharpened posts and leave them to rot.
