Truckman and Birdsnake have it right on. Kyoto only applies to the advanced Western economies. Gimpy 3rd world nations can ignore it altogether. So can the Chinese! Socialists want to equalize all the nations of the world. Their hero had always been the old Soviet Union. When it crumbled the rats had to find a new flunky movement under which to fly their banner. The environmental movement provide them with that. Ever wonder what the old Soviet Union's last communist leader is up to these days? Mikhail Gorbachev is now a big environmentalist! Big surprise, huh? Folks, if you really want to learn about the voodoo-science of 'global warming' AND be thoroughly entertained at the same time I heartily reccommend Michael Crichton's bestselling novel "State of Fear". Pres. Bush read the novel and even received Mr. Crichton in the White House. This book should be required reading for every American as an antidote to the agenda-driven pseudo science of 'global warming' as presented by Al Gore and his cast of environmental idiots.
