i know when i am sad it is nice to have someone ask me what is wrong. it make me feel better even if i don't tell that person about what is wrong. i do know that when my wife comes and sits with me and talks to me about how i am feeling that ya it is very important for me for her to validate my feeling.. and if i am thinking about a new job or project yes i want her in put her views. and i like to talk it over with the guys and there are time i need that validation and other times i don't. and thank you i will have a nice day i hope you do too.

I believe all of our feelings and behaviours need some validation at some point. If as children we get this validation, though, it can give us the confidence to carry some of our feelings alone as we grow into adulthood.

I think we need others to validate our feelings. Many of us are not confidant with our feelings/beliefs and we need others to let us know that it is OK to feel the way we do. I always tell my clients that it is OK to feel the way they do, after all, it's their feelings.

Just like we need crime (so no matter how bad things get, there is always someone worse off than us), we need to think that what we feel is right? Sorry, I'm confusing myself!

When I think of your question I think of the zoo. I think of the lonely animals that might live alone, and I have to say. Yes, we do. Validation comes in many forms, and not just your,(Oh! Your doing great!)

The word emotion means literally "to move". It is necessary to communicate our feelings to other people to change and move forward.
