I think what Mr. Foley did was wrong, and he deserves whatever punishment he has coming.

However, before you start blaming the GOP, you should read how the democratic congressman Gerry Studds handled his censure vs how republican congressman Dan Crane handled his censure. Both of them were caught in a sexual relationship with 17 year old pages.

I'm curious. What is worse? A member of congress having a sexual relationship with a page, or just talking dirty to them over e-mail, and IM's????

Foley resigned. Crane, publicly apologized, and was defeated in the next election. Studds turned his back when his censure was read, then had a public press conferance with the former page, and told everyone what he did in private was non of our business. He served five more terms.

Like so many GOP's-its not HIS fault! They all play the blame game so why shouldn't Mr. Foley? It's the booze, the priest, the gun just went off, embezzling money-who me?, Geez I am getting sick of all the GOP's that have been tried and ended up in jail since Bush took office. If they cannot blame someone outright they change to diversionary tactics-like lets go to war with Iraq cause we'll never find Bin Laden in those mountains-heck you ALL know I could go on and on and on and on and on.....you get the gist!

It's just a Liberal conspiracy to drag him down! He's innocent!

Haha, I'm just kidding. The man is a scumbag, and what makes it especially revolting was the fact that he was the co-chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children caucus. Now the GOP wants to (just like Rush Limbaugh) turn it into a case where HE is the victim, and he deserves pity. Funny how much things change when the shoe's on the other foot.

It shows that scum rises to the top.

neither party are exempt from this rule; and all recent presidents embody this, too, in varying ways.
