I do the same thing for my husband and I just tell him such things as "Have a wonderful day", "XOXOXO", "I'll miss you today", "I'll be praying for you throughout my day", "I love you so very much", "You mean everything to me" I think that as long as its sincere and cute and short that its appreciated by your man.

Have you tried google some? I bet you can find plenty of them on the internet. By the way, I love the idea of sticking love quotes there. It's super cute! I'll do that when I have a husband too. :D

I have been in a three month love affair and here are a couple from my stock. Isn't love AWESOME!
Our love is a treasure for which we can never pay; the only way we keep it is to give it away...each day!
You are a true friend is and when you reach for your hand you touch your heart.
Babe, to the world you may be ONE person, but to this ONE person you are the world.

what do you mean no nasty or vulgar?
imagine if you put him a note: "i'll be waiting for you at home with nothing on..." that will make him smile!
and he'll rush back to you, you'll see....
i know it's not of my business, but you are married, sex is healthy in your relationship, spice things up!

your my sun
you light my soul
You warm my heart
and guide me home
I lay dormant in the night
and wait your arrival.

I wrote this one myself for my sister to use on her boyfriend back in the 70's (please do not sell it, but just use it on someone for whom it fits for you):
"To live is to love, and you make life worth living."
One could even use the converse:
"To love is to live, and you make life worth living."
Whichever states it better for you.
