From the right wing conservative movement. In order to control the media they always blast that message. The gullible among us accept it. This is despite the fact that most of the major media outlets are owned by what can be described as only conservative. If you don't believe me just look around their are like 100 syndicated conservative talk shows; their is a major 24 hour new network that is staunchly conservative to the point of being blatant propagandists. Look at the the movie "Path of Glory" which was put on by ABC (Disney conglomerate) as a docudrama, no less. It was full of lies, half truths, and total fabrications. So, ask your self where is this so-called liberal media bias??

I think in days past there might have been some truth to it. It seems that Liberals are more likely to believe in the importance of the Free Press, and therefore are more likely to become journalists. These days they bend over backwards to not be biased. I've even heard so-called Liberal journalists refer to Iraq as an integral part of the War on Terror and call the Estate Tax the Death Tax. Choosing those names shows a great Conservative bias. The conservatives have been hammering the mantra of "liberal media" into our heads for so long, that we all accept it as a given, even the media.

it's spin... you don't like what they say... you say they are "liberal"... hitler did the same thing... he slammed liberals all the time...
it's basic political tactics... blame someone else...
who knows where it started... it's been around for years to one degree or another...
and of course there are some biases... these are humans... there will naturally be some bias... but no where near the degree in any station that most on both sides would have you believe with the actual "news".... the opinion shows can be out there though....
