Just to clear something up - BearShare and LimeWire are legal (and P2P, which you said you didn't want) - until you start downloading music with copywrights, etc.
I would recommend you go to www.pandora.com ... you can't download music, but you can listen to it all day for free, plus it's customized to what you like. You type in a band name or song name that you like, and it automatically finds other songs that it thinks you might like and plays those. As for downloading music, I'd say stick with itunes and just pay for it.

I dont usually download music :)
but if i have to, i'll probably use 'lime wire'
not sure is that legal or not

I use bear share
its totally leagal 2!
but there are sometimes i feel guilty and ill get music off itunes

i use itunes (which i know i know, sadly isnt free) but i like limewire. i stopped using it when i got my new computer bthough, because i heard that it givs your computer viruses, and/or makes it run much Slower....

bearshare... download the free version so you will always have access...completly legal and free i use it
