This is a party for my daughter.I am open to all ideas within reason-we are on a budget. I was thinking about inviting boys to the party also. It would be well supervised!! Her birthday is in November. She is pretty much into anything trendy, a straight A student and very social but not into the whole BF thing -and that is fine by me!! I don't want to do it at my home-it is too small! Help!!! (Oh I want it to be a surprise)!

Maybe take them rollerskating, or to a midnight bowling rink, that is always fun, its dark and all lit up with black lights and strobes, really fun, and pretty reasonable too. Maybe just a big pizza party or something, gosh, I can't wait to have kids!!! It will be sooo fun! I guess in the mean time I just have to spoil my neice!! lol
reply about the first guys answer, When I was a teenager I had parties till I was 16, its fun!! hello sleep over, gossip, need I say more?

I think that taking her friends to a bowling alley would be a blast, even if it is a little expensive. It's fun for both guys and girls, especially teenagers. Look around your neighborhood for some less expensive bowling alleys. They usually have rooms for birthdays. As for a theme, Hollywood is always fun in my opinion, but a lu-au (or however it is you spell it) is also pretty cool and relatively common. You'll find more lu-au decorations than other themes, but a lu-au is more of a summer thing. The people don't necessarily have to dress up, because most teens don't like to, but tons of decorations always make it more memorable. I really wouldn't suggest doing a Halloween theme, since it already passed, and a Thanksgiving theme isn't really "party-ish." The surprise part will be a little tricky if you go with the bowling alley, but you could just say that it's going to be a family bowling outing in celebration of her birthday, and it'll still be a huge surprise when she sees all of her friends there. You could also have them go up to a cider mill, since quite a few of them offer fun attractions, such as Blake's Cider Mill (I think it's in Armada). They have a haunted house, hay rides, you name it. That cider mill is geared more towards littler kids, but it could still be fun. Again, if you aren't holding the party at your house, I suggest taking her on a "family outing" to get her to her party, wherever it may be.

I remember when my sister turned somewhere bettween 12 and 14 (this was during the late 80's with the whole material-girl attitude) my parents said they were taking the girls out to the mall and they were all going to go shopping!
Then they had a big challenge-game which everyone had a real good time with -- they gave each girl a dollar and paired them up and turned them loose (bear in mind, this was in Woodfield Mall in chicago with about 900 stores in it so plenty to keep them busy.)
Each "team" had to figure out how to spend those two dollars and come back with the "most" of something -- maybe it would be 100 ounces of something, I think one girl bought a jigsaw puzzle, a not-too-smart one bought a soda thinking that the ice would be many things (but she bought it in the start of the game... dummy) but I do remember the winning team bought a jar of glitter!
Could be fun, although in this day and age it might have to be $5 a team

Hey mum,
You want to have a really good party for your 14 year old daughter?
A really, REALLY, good party?
You don't make it a surprise party.
You tell her she can invite whoever she likes.
You don't lay on any food
or entertainment
or puppet shows
or games of checkers or Scrabble
What you do, Mum - is go out for the evening.
That would be the best party for a 14 year old girl - EVER
and you know it - because you were 14 once.

this is coming from a 15 year old. umm deifnitly give her and her friends space during the party idk how she acts but just tellin ya. inviting boys should be ok a long as supervised just dont be like peeping around corners with ppl with walkie tlakies lol. if u want ot go on an outing jsut think of something she enjoys doing with her firend only a little more special. but since ur on a budget try not to go too crazy. simple casual and fun. kids like to do different things these days so its ahrd ot decide anymore. well i prolly didnt help but i tryed

have the party someplace else like.. at a park or lease a pool place out after which you odn't would desire to tension too lots approximately cleansing up and for the few human beings you prefer to have a snooze over, you are able to in simple terms invite those human beings, like according to probability 4-5 human beings.

Why dont you have a theme party . Let your daughter pick it and let them dress as she wants. also making the food fit the theme would also make a hit with not only your daughter but her friends as well..hope that helps.

Kids don't have "traditional bday parties" after 13. Does she like horseback riding? Take her and a bunch of girlfriends of hers to a stable or something like that.
