The Cd slot does not work
I put in a Cd and it doen not work
I also tried different cd s and nothing happends
It makes a noise and the it just stops
The Other slot for the cds does work!

If the CD drawer opens & closes, but it doesn't recognize the CD, it probably needs cleaned.
There are many CD/DVD drive cleaners available.
Get one and try it.
If it still doesn't work, get a new one.
They are cheap ($29 at WalMart) and easy to install.
Just follow the instructions included with the new drive.

Wow.. u ask a nice question...
use ur CD on another cd-Drive if that's not play on it and ur drive is suitable u have problem with ur CD so try to clean it with cd cleaner.
if this cd is important for u... get help from some company that recover data from all devices.
