Yes, for you can collect large amounts of food (plague) throughout the day, but if you manage to clean that off, you may be able to clear a lot of this off before yor dentist cleans. I highly recommend you take the couple of minutes to brush your teeth before visiting a dentist, orthodontist, etc.. Hope this helps!

I'm sure the vast majority do. It seems a better idea to eat Cheetos or Oreo cookies before a visit to ensure they do a good cleaning. The dentist and hygienist will know how well you have been taking care of the teeth between visits anyway.

yes, because my dentist makes me swish around that blue liquid that shows the plaque on your teeth. So, now I never forget to brush before the dentist appt.

Once when I was kid, I ate something just before going and the dentist said something about it, so ever since then I try to brush before.

Yeah I do. It's a habit. I think I would feel embarassed if they weren't just brushed when I went for my appt. But it's kinda silly b/c I am going for my teeth to get cleaned anyways! Oh, well...silly habit.

Yes, and brush my tongue with a tongue scraper for fresher breath and floss and use a dental tool to remove any plaque that I can find my self before they do their scraping..... why? I think it is a common courtesy to the doc and hygienist.
