I think the first thing I'd do is tuck my pants into some high socks to keep anything from crawling up my pant leg and if wearing gloves makes you feel better do so, tuck your shirt sleeves into them if you can.

I think perhaps the first thing you should do is go in with a vaccum cleaner with the attachment hose and suck up all the cobwebs. You should suck up any creepy crawlies along with them. Vaccum everywhere you can until you feel you have gotten the majority of the spiderwebs and cobwebs. That should help.

Then keep the gloves on while you throw away anything you can into trash bags. After that.. just watch where your cleaning.. but I think the vaccuming first will make you feel a little better before digging into nooks and crannies.

I hate spiders too!!

I would wear clothes that will zip up so that they can't get in and a hat so they don't drop on you!

Rubber or thick gardening gloves would be fine. Have a newspapaer ready just in case you need to hit one and run!! Oh and you'll need to be wearing your trainers - to get the hell out of there when you have been spooked!!

Good luck.

you need to vacuum real good , move everything out and go around base boards and everything that can be vacuumed. then spray around base boards . use a spray just for spiders .. be sure the room is ventilated and close door after spraying for awhile if you are going to be there a while and make sure no pets are by the room after it is sprayed. use gloves if you wish ..

Maybe you should get a professional in there to find out what kinds of spiders you're dealing with. If they're harmless, just wear something over your hair and neck and go to work.
