He would properly be referred to as a grooms man or an usher. which might look odd unless his corresponding escort or groomsman was either gay and he was also gay or his escort was a woman. Social Progress is not easy to maintain in a ceremony such as a wedding. Weddings such as these are good for society so just grin and bear it.

it's a bit unusual to be a Bridesmaid for a youg man. But being the best man for a Bride I can imagine. When I got married ,I asked my best friend to stand in for me. .Just depends who you want to stand up for you

OMG... LMAO--- I am a butch Lesbian and I had to be a brides maid for my sister.... I looked like a woman in drag... The dress was lavandar and that was the first one I wore in 20 years and the last one I will ever wear........ Bad, bad, bad. Oh and of coarse everyone in the family have a million pictures of it..... The worst day of my life.......... I changed as soon as they were hitched.... In my jeans and harley boots
