Why do countries waive all the non-resident laws for someone like her to adopt a child when chances are it will end up in a broken home? And then when a couple of people that are going to make the greatest parents try to adopt they have to deal with red tape after red tape. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Yeah-she did adopt a little one year old.I just read that myself.The reason celebrities can adopt with no trouble is because they are celebrities.Average people who try to adopt-some of them go through red tape because the adoption agency looks at their backgrounds and see if they can be good parents,see if they can provide a good home for the child,see if they make enough money to support the child.They check if both parents have a history of abuse or alcoholism so that's why it takes so long for people to adopt sometimes.

I may be wrong but I don't think she has adopted a child yet, I think she is thinking about it. I may be wrong tho last thing I read was she was thinking about it...
And the red tape, well not everyone has the money that she has. And just because she adobts does not mean the child will be in a broken home.

she just made $50 million last year alone. she is one of the richest women in the world. She has been married to her husband for years. They have 2 kids. what makes you think this would be a broken home? does she have to be poor and unknown to have a good home? Dont be ridiculous.
it is just easier for her because she can afford better lawyers who can speed up the red tape. besides, you dont know when she started this process. it could have been years ago.
