i'm 41 and i use to have very light periods but they are very bad now, very heavy and alot of clots. i can't afford to go to the doctor.
could it be menopause? what do people do if they have no money to go to the doctor?

You could have endometriosis. A lot of woman are getting this disease. There has been research done to suggest it can develop from using Kotex type pads because of the chemicals (dioxins) they use on them during the process of making them. This does not sound like menopause. Heavy bleeding and blood clots are common in endometriosis as well as extremely painfull periods. What state are you in that you can't get medical for low income? You need to get checked up by a doctor.

You are a little young for menopause but it does happen. However, menopause is when you STOP having periods. If you are having this bad bleeding then you must go to a doctor. Find a free clinic if you have to. You could have fibroid tumors which will cause heavy bleeding. But do go.

Sounds like menopause. Or pre-menopause. Go to your local free clinic.

Could be menopause. My mother had her period for months without ending when she got into menopause, then not at all, then for months in a row again...

Well my mom had that and she went to the doctor and had to have surgery. they said if she didn't She could of died. So it would be best for you to get money to get checked out
