This must be impossible to answer. I've discussed it several times with people but we can never be sure, I guess if it ends somewhere then there will be nothing, but what does this nothing look like? Also, for all we know our universe could just be a tiny atom in the genetics of something much larger! Who knows? It's mind boggling!

It is continuously expanding and is never ending. Whats outside the universe? The universe its self!

What makes us think the universe is the largest of any size like one lady mentioned ,this whole universe could be part of another level and part of an atom.
The atoms that we know in our scale may contain universes and with in that more universes .as it gets smaller.
Where it starts or ends ,is so great . oh dear wheres that asprin?

The universe has a size only because WE put one on it. Humans live with borders, the universe has none.

Every probability could be a reality ... Just use your imagination
here is my imagination , outside the universe :
infinite parallel universes that cannot interfere , one of them is Heaven :) ... other is Hell , others may look like our universes.
These universes could be 1 cm away from us ... but we cannot interfer with them .
All these parallel universes exist in the bulk universe(11D) .
But what outside the bulk universe ? is it God ?
Other probabilities : The universe exist inside your brain ...and vice versa ...

a parallel universe.. the universe could also be infinite in 3 dimensional space, but finite in 4 dimensional space..

here's what's so weird about this question- Let's say the universe is infinite- you mean it goes on forever? but when does it end? it doesn't end? but that doesn't seem to make sense.
but let's say the universe is finite? what's at the end? a wall? what's beyond that wall? huh? that doesn't make sense?
so you see- neither theory is really comprehendible.....
i have my own theories about it but i'm saving mine for a book or something. sorry.

I have already answered this question at least 14 times and have been proven correct.
Space is not as big as we are led to believe.
For instance, think that the sun is 96 million miles away.
It is not.
It is, in fact only 4.5 miles away and is only about the size of a block of flats.
Someone got their sums wrong.
I was one of the earliest astronauts on a mission into space.
When we took off we were expecting to be flying upwards for at least 36 hours.
In fact we reached the edge in less than 2 minutes.
That's where we hit the wall.
A big brick one.
We followed it all the way round at a speed of 1,000 miles per hour and it took only 25 minutes to get back where we started from (we knew where we had started from because we wrote "Kilroy was here" on it)
Luckily we had a ladder on board.
We went on a "space walk" with our ladder - set it up against the wall, climbed up and looked over and saw . . . . . .
another wall.
Okay?

It cannot, that is obviouse but some people in certain jobs pertaining to this issue, need to justify their fat saleries, so put facts and figures, just to make them seem clever, and worth thei salary cheque. In the big bland picture. What is the bloody universe. Who the hell knows......really, when it comes down to it it is all guesswork and pie in the sky dinamic ****.
