Both of these guys were sexual deviants and disturbed. While I do not buy the idea that rape is all about power, it seems that power certainly is involved in molestation and rape. Maybe the violation of females and subsequently murdering them also provides the sexual deviant with a measure of euphoria before he experiences an overwhelming feeling of guilt. Reminds me of Kierkegaard's theoretical aesthete, who is both attracted to and repulsed by the opportunity to seduce women or engage in other questionable acts. Finally, these men may have harbored misogynistic propensities, which they ultimately acted out through acts of violence or aggression.

This world is a very scary place anymore. These people that are creating such havic crimes, then kill themselves take the easy way out. I'm not sure that the punishment on the other side will do these families justice of what they caused. I am discusted with the recent school crimes, and I keep thinking about how easy it was to enter my high school 6 years ago!!! Too may entrances for people to do harm. There has to be a better way to control the people entering our schools. What is more unfortunate, is that most of these crimes have been commited by school age teens with a lot of problems. People need to start paying better attention to their children and get them help when you suspect they need it. And as for these adults that are taking their own hostility out on innocent poeple, I cannot say a word, I am speechless and discusted. I have soo many questions, like you, and no answers. People are sick and taking it out on the wrong people. There has to be something done, we have been hearing breaking news on a school shooting almost every other day. I am mostly sorry for all the families this has effected. I cannot give enough thought for the Amish people in Pennsylvania, my heart goes out to those poor people. And might I add, that we all could learn a lot from them. It is so sad that that man has interupted their oh so innocent lives. How could someone even think of it?

Maybe for better understanding you should read books on criminal psychology and books about the lives and habits of those who kill. Sexual crimes weren't always popular and guns weren't always around. I don't agree with murder, but there are people who have done worse, but because you weren't alive for it, it doesn't matter apparently. I suggest you try to understand not everyone has a healthy life mentally and physically and that some people have issues and obsessions they take to far. Yes, its sick, but its preventable.

If I had to guess, I would assume the killer has a grudge of sorts against women/children. Generally, rape and molestation derive from people sexually impotent, those with physical deformities or perverse views on acceptable sex. Also from those who feel a bit of power during the case, but the murderous part comes from guilt afterward. More than likely, this person had a poor childhood and parents. I don't back him up, but I doubt all of it was his fault.

I do feel monsters are created, never born.

What happened on Monday, I believe, is a copy cat crime. Though he would have done something violent, this may have been his choice after seeing what the other guy did in Colorado. It is very distressing that we now have to be so much more concerned about people totally unrelated to the school community coming in and killing our children and grandchildren. Until now it's been other children, bad enough. This, to me, is worse. I don't know why these men are doing it.

This may sound strange to you, but I have kind of a sneaking suspicion that this could be all staged by the government in an attempt to get people to surrender their guns. Once the government gets our guns, that's the end of freedom in America. We will be living in a totalitarian police state with no means of fighting back.

Because there aren't strong enough laws to protect our children, and punish those who do such horrible things.
