ok. when i sighned up for this account i put a different last name. but i want to change it now to my real last name. and i have went to account setting changed it and saved it!! but when i email people it still comes up as the name before .(the one i signed up with) how do i change this?? if you can answer this for me ill will deffinintly give you 10 points!!!!

Go into Yahoo mail, go to "Options", then select "General Preferences", then in the space where it says "From Name", put in the name you want.

Ahhh I see your dilemma, you signed up as sayyyyyy "john.smith@yahoo.com" as your email, and when you are online you it has your display name as "John Smith" as default, okay then you now want to change it. So you go to
Account Information > (do your password thing if it asks you) > Click the Edit next to "Address/Contact Information" > This is where you can change your actual name (display name), but you account email address will always be the name you signed up as.
So a new email address needs to be created. so 1st thing I'd do is check if it is available.
Then the only whay to get your message and info across is to forward them from one account to another as Yahoo does not exchange or merge email accounts see http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/profiles/profiles-10.html

I know, if its yahoo mail, its not going to change, mine is the same way with my 1st name, my mom put in kim but my name is ally, you can't change it, so I just live with it.

well if you go to your info than try changing it. if it dosent work find the change info button
