Trans-gender = A person that is trapped in the wrong body and they need to be the opposite sex.

The best way of describing the term is someone who is assigned a sex at birth determined by their genetailia, but who feel this is either a false or incomplete description of their gender. I think the end part encompasses the wide range of people this covers. Not all transgendered people are trans-sexuals, but all people who trans-sexuals are transgendered.

Transgendered means someone who got changed to another sex artificially... He/she may or maynot have the qualities of the latter sex!!

its an all encompasing term used to describe those that are transsexual - (pre-op, post-op, non-op), transvestite, and anyone that is gender dysphoric.
i myself am a pre-op transsexual.
