while i know this question was asked merely to wind people up,the only question I would ask is why do hundreds of thousands of people die from malnutrition and civil conflict, and nothing gets said. Yet people still mourn the loss of 3000 americans?

Hell America has lost over 2000 troops fighting in a place that had nothing to do with 9/11

I agree with everything except the "grow up" part. I think that the "terrorists" are having a field day with this gov't rehashing this every year. But then, the Bushies still want a reason to continue the "war".There were a lot of women who were widowed in the last 5 years. Who shares their pain?

no, it is not "soooo 5 yrs ago"!!!!!!!!!!! To most of us here in America ,especially New York, it is like just yesterday. The terror and pain remains and I am sure every family member, especially the babies born after losing their fathers are affected in one way or another every day by this senseless act of cowardly violence!
Maybe if you met someone who was there that day you would feel differently, I actually knew two people who were there, one made it =one didn't --so stop and think before you write such nonsense!

Ever heard the phrase history repeats its self. This is true because people forget what happens. So this being said no I dont feel we should just get over it. If we do we are leaving ourselves open to being blindsided again. Lest we never forget.

I was never able to actually comprehend the great amount of tragedy people seemed to draw from 9/11. It was horrible, yes, but no different than any other terrorist attack in another country, and it seems as though our "personal" attack was given a much higher significance in the world view than any previous or current attack in a foreign country.

I THINK THE ONES MOST AFFECTED BY IT ARE THE ONES WHO LOST LOVED ONES IN THAT INCIDENT AND THE ONES WHO EXPERIENCED IT. IT'S HARD TO GET OVER A TRAGIC INCIDENT LIKE THAT IF YOU ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED IT. THAT'S LIKE IF MY SON DIED AND FIVE YEARS LATER I WAS STILL SAD AND YOU TOLD ME TO GET OVER IT. I WOULD TELL YOU TO KISS MY A** AND PROBABLY KNOCK THE SH*T OUT OF YOU.
