Ok you know how younger people(or older) jokes about(or doesn't really mean it) "oh I could just kill him/her!" when they're frusterated or angry but they don't really mean it?

Well some people never heard of people saying it and some people do. It's very common in Nebraska. Some people take it seriously and report to police when they aren't gonna kill anyone. I never say it. When I hear people say it I don't take them seriously.

Thoughts?

I hear you. It was common for us to say "I could kill them!" & it was just a way of blowing off steam, but with the way our world is now, you have to be careful what you say. In my last job, we had meetings about it. Even if you were kidding, they could take it serious.

I usually don't take it seriously. Only once I walked in the street with my friend and we heard a guy telling his friend he was going to kill someone and he looked and sounded really serious, I hurried to get out of there, though I didn't hear about any murder in that area in the newspapers later..lol... I was so sure he was going to kill someone, he had murder in his eyes... scary...
