Find a motorcycle shipping company. Check out http://www.vehicletransport.com/quote/motorcycle.asp to get price quotes from multiple companies and then check out the companies rating and reviews at TransportReviews.com.
Many auto transport companies are able to ship motorcycles. They are typically shipped on an enclosed carrier with soft tie downs.
A way to get a ball park idea of the price to ship the motorcycle is to look at the cost to ship a car on an open carrier. I checked out the Reviews and Prices by Route tool on Transport Reviews and it shows that prices very somewhat significantly.
Five star companies’ prices typically fall in the $650 range and they very from $500 to $775. (there are some outliers, high prices, that I removed. It appears that they were dump trucks)
So get some prices from companies that ship motorcycles and then check out ratings and reviews. That is certainly the formula for success in a somewhat scary industry.
Good luck!

Try STI/Beltmann Group They are a North American Van Lines agent. I work there as a driver and have for about 5 years. We ship lots of motorcycles across the country. I am not sure of the cost but from my deliveries people have said they were the cheapest by far. You do nothing either. A local North American Van Lines agent will come pick the bike up. Skid it in the truck at your house, and deliver it to you in Fl. The bike is strapped down with 4 skids and also has a cloth cover put on it to keep it clean. Here's their website....

I've heard good things about A-1 Auto Transport http://www.a1autotransport.com/services/motorcycle-shipping.php They ship bikes in enclosed carriers or they can provide crating services if you prefer that. I think most auto transport companies would be able to handle motorcycle transport, just make they have the right equipment to keep it safe and secure during shipping!

Sleepydo, thats cheaper than driving up and getting it. I brought 4 bikes from Pa to Florida in a Mazda B2300 for roughly $600.00 last year but that included motels for 2 nights. You need about a week if your going there to get it and airfare if your packing it yourself

Some of the moving companies have vehicle transport. You might want to get in contact with Allied Van Lines, Atlas Van Lines or Bekins to see if they do vehicle transport.

cheapest way is to take your bike to where a forward air terminal is at. they provide an enclosed container just for m/c and you place your own lock on the container. Nobody can access the container since you have your own lock on it. I had a bike ship from fla to va two years ago and it was about $350.
also, bring your own bike straps
