Cv Joints struts, steering rack have all been replaced. It's an 03 Impala. One shop said my subframe is cracked and another shop said bad bushings. I had my tranny rebuilt in Oct of 05. Wouldn't they have noticed if my subframe was cracked when they worked on the tranny? And if the subframe were cracked wouldn't the problems start right after an accident? Or does it take a long time?

I did not make an insurance claim on the car because my dad fixed the fender. And the cracked headlight. And I already said the cv joints have been replaced. I wish people would pay attention to the questions..

You probably have some frame issues. If the sub frame was cracked the repair shop might have given it a quick weld. The weld might of broken due to misalignment.

I'd bet your frame is out of whack and it screwed up your CV joints (the clicking). After the accident the changed all the parts and put the car on an alignment bench. now the wheels are perfectly aligned as long as they point straight. But if the frame is not true, every time you take a turn the wheels will try to pull the car apart, or squeeze it together. That's probably what cracked the sub frame and chewed up the CV's. Take it to reputable body shop that has a frame alignment setup.

Or it could just be a bum CV.

If the noise is a clicking sound as you turn the corner and acelerate most likely it is going to be a outer CV Joint and whether or not you had them replaced is not the Issue...(read on)
A torn or damaged C.V. boot can allow a joint to go bad in just
a few miles... Your car is a uni-body and that portion may have
incurred damage but most likely will not cause a click.. and a bad
bushing will cause a klunk type sound over bumps and holes in the road and once again not a clicking on turns... Good Luck
