D. But it is not a life sentence. Working through the resulting issues with intimacy, self-esteem, trust, etc. can and WILL help soothe and eventually overcome the damage done to a woman by these terrible things. I would highly recommend therapy/counselling, When something like this happens to a young person it is even harder for her to deal with it by herself, because she never had a chance to truly know her strengths and resources before she was so mistreated. It also makes it more likely for her to experience various forms of abuse later in life. A counselor can help her value the survivor as opposed to despising the victim in her, and can work with her to build her self-esteem and confront her deamons in a safe and supportive enironment. I'm sorry if this happened to you or a loved one. Wish you much strength.

Medications, particularly antidepressants can have this effect.
Stressful situations not related to sex can cause decreased libido - work, finances, etc.
Attempting to tie the effect of loss of libido to a strictly sexual cause is blinding yourself to a myriad of other external, internal and medical reasons for the lack of interest.
