Don't let the comments posted already bother you. Some people clearly find joy in trying to make others feel bad.
You ask a good question because I have ofter wondered that myself. I did see one asked and I went back at a later time and checked it and it came up and said that the person had been removed from Yahoo answers.
Hopefully someone with some brains will answer this correctly.

Yahoo! does not monitor the answers board. However, if you report, the person's answer is usually deleted. I have heard in some cases where accounts have been suspended, but it's usually over a period of time and repeated negative, insulting and hateful postings. Therefore, if someone is harassing you or others, keep reporting it. Have a nice day!
