I had this happen to me, your best bet is to call a plumber asap so it does not do any structural damage. I am a handy man, and can usually fix things, but ended up just being cheaper to call a plumber than myself trying to fix it on 3 different occasions.

Hole in the floor -- do you mean the sewer ? I would not put any more water into a restricted sewer pipe. Turn off the washer and any other things using work. If it starts to overflow, call the hubby at work and/or call out an emergency plubmer. There's nothing nastier than a sewage back up.

Seriously, call ROTO Router. If it is raining where you are it could be the sewers backing up. I am glad I don't have your problem.
