I bought the Sims 2 Nightlife expansion pack and it won't install on my computer. I have the base game and several expansions already and they all work fine. I've tried many times to install it and it works fine up until right after it checks to see if the version is up to date. Then it just says "Please Wait" and won't do anything.
If I go into Task Manager it's not in Applications, but it's in Processes. It says it's doing something but it's only taking up about 1% of my computer's activity, and it's going slower than a turtle with no legs.
I've tried closing all background tasks and shutting off virus scans and all that. It's the only thing on. I need a new approach.
Anyone know how I can fix the problem?
By the way, I've got Windows XP.

I checked in Add/Remove Programs and it says that Nightlife is there, but when I clicked Change/Remove, nothing happened. I'm wondering if maybe because I've tried installing it so many times there are little fragments of it but ot enough for it to work.
