Here's what they're doing as of yesterday. Drudge,Rush, House speaker Hastert and other neocons are trying desperately to find any link that suggests that some democrats knew about Foley's sick behavior and just now leaked it to the press so that they lose elections this Nov.! Worst than that, FOX fake news is now repeating that many feel that democrats had something to do with it and this morning it gets worst! They put a picture of Foley up with the wrong info, labeling him as a democrat from Florida running for re-election!!! OMG, these freaks are shameless liars! Believe me, they will keep repeating these lies and get the southern voters to vote for them again! That's how they get voted in, by repeating false information and ignorant contituents buy it all. Shameful neocons!

As soon as I started seeing postings of this incredible spin, I had a feeling that some dittohead was parroting some Rush drug induced rationalization. I guess I was right again. They can't obscure the fact that this is all the results of Foley's action and Foley is a leading Republican. This is worse than blaming Bush's illegal Iraq war on the Democrats who voted to authorize it.

I've watched quite a bit of both CNN & FOX.
I haven't heard any of that. The only times I've heard anyone suggest a possibility that dems knew, it was suggesting that BOTH sides might have been putting politial games ahead of the safety & well beings of the pages.
I've seen the images on websites trying to "show" Fox News tried to present Foley as a democrat. I highly suspect the image is doctored. If it isn't doctored, it is a brief typo. I'm sure the newscaster was verbally refering to him as a republican at the same time & it was immediately corrected, because all I've seen on Fox was references to REPUBLICAN Foley.
And I have heard MANY, if not ALL of the commentors on Fox, not only condemning Foley, but also wanting an investigation in to who knew what & when. One conservative commentator last night said "If Hastert didn't know - he should have!"
Part of the confusion (again, IF the image is accurate) is that there is a democrat Tom Foley. IF someone made that kind of mistake, I sort of hope they'd get fired for it.
The only thing "fair & balanced" about FOX is that it provides balance by presenting the "right while CNN presents the "left." I watch both to get the whole picture.

Actually, they're right. ANYONE who knew about Foley should be booted out! If the Democrats knew about it, and waited until now to leak it for political gain then they should be exposed! If any Republicans were keeping it a secret then they should be exposed. How is Fox bad for reporting what is really going on. Many indeed do feel the Dems leaked it. It's fishy to me that this has been happening for 3 years, and during this election season it finally comes out. Yes, there are gonna be in depth investigations, and this will end up biting the Dems in the rear end. Shameless freaks? What are you, 10?

To answer your question, No. Nothing the Republicans dream up surprises me. I'll admit I was a Republican because I was a military officer and really thought they had my best interest at heart. Then, after having an argument with my non-Repub brethren, I watched the presidential debate. Then, I watched subsequent debates. That was enough for me. I ran from that party!
BTW, you ever watch Bill Maher? That's a perfect platform to see how ridiculous they sound.

Ditch Fox News. I don't think Foley will get re-elected, not with what he's pulled.

You know they aren't going to blame themselves for the problems even if they are caught holding the smoking gun.
