THANK YOU! I have been trying to figure this out too.. the next thing you know the "african baby fad" will be over and they'll move on to another race. I don't get it, why even torture the kids by bringing them here to get taunted in school about their parents being white and rich. Double Trouble.

From what I've heard there are waiting lists for little American babies...especially white babies. It is easier to adopt older kids but people tend to want babies. However, there is a huge need for parents to take in these orphans from Africa. So I beleive it's because people don't want to be stuck on a waiting list when they could adopt one of these beautiful babies from Africa.

I think I know the answer to that!
I'm trying to adopt a baby here in the US and it's taking YEARS
In Africa you get them in weeks. I think that's why.
Somebody should do something to change the laws in the US so that innocent kids can get a family soon

the reason why is because they want to show how charitable they are by adopting children suffering from aids, disease, and hunger. they think they can travel all the way and be good hearted to all the people, when they only do it because they have money to buy expensive airplane tickets. showoffs!!!

With all their celeb ego boost, the fall out may help even 1 % of those dying ones.
All the billions u all are sending doesnot reach the empty famished tummy bottoms boy.

They think they r doing something great!! don't get me wrong or anything it is nice that they are adopting babies from other countries but i think they only did it for publicity!!

its a fad. they think that it makes them look deep. though it is better to be raised in america than to be an orphan. i just hope they raise them with a sense of heritage because black children need black parents.
