It sounds like you might want them later, so ask your doctor for other options.

PS - If this guy is not THE GUY that you will be spending the rest of your life with and he is sure he doesn't want children. Suggest he get his pipes tied. It won't make him any less of a man to shoot blanks and may make him more relaxed to know there won't any little accidents running around.

You can do it any time you want.

For some reason some doctors resist a woman choosing this option. I don't know why they put their personal views into the exam room, but they do. Don't be discouraged if the doc tries to talk you out of it. Far better you take care of it than have an unwanted pregnancy.

You can also talk to your doc about birth control. There are lower dosage pills on the market today. There are also horomone impants, IUDs, and other options available.

Best thing for you to do is ask your doctor. If they say no to tying your tubes, you can always get an IUD.

There are many good forms of birthcontrol out that will not make you sick to your stomach.

You can get your tubes tied at any time. Are you "sure" you don't want anymore kids?

First of all, you said "i am with a guy that doesn't want anymore kids" and you don't want them RIGHT NOW?? Make sure you do this for you and not him. Are you sure you don't want anymore children? You're willing to sacrifice that?? IF so, you can get it done at anytime.

If he doesn't want any more kids then get him to have his tubes tied!

Tubal ligation can occur at any age.

Bear in mind that if you change your mind, reversal has a much lower success rate than a vasectomy!
