I have just read the answers to the question and all I seen mostly was democrat bashing I'M sure if we check the Republicans we could find as many things they did but I also think a lot of things have been said about republicans and democrats alike that were false. I'M not sure that anyone else is involved in this case sometimes people wait hoping they don't have to be the one to bring it to a conclusion. The people who are involved in this type of action and who are actually guilty should immediately resign and let the law take its course. Makes no difference what party they belong to.

Maybe when the leaders of the Democratic Party, or NAMBLA, step down for Barney Frank.

Q. If this was a school teacher (or even a vice-principal) instead of a senator & he sent these IM's to a child at his school - would the reaction be different ? The victim would be the same - a child, in a vunerable position being pressured by a person in a position of authority.

Had it been a teacher/Vice-Principal, would the case be closed following his resignation, or would it be important to know who was resposible for the actions of the teacher - shouldn't his superiors be held accountable ?

OH WAIT. I forgot, this is the Republican party we are talking about. They aren't accountable for anything.

No, they should step down because they are simple-minded redneck bigots. Not because one of their colleagues is a child molesting homo. Although, this does support my theory that all Republicans are closet homosexuals due to having been diddled as kids.
