Take your sense of self-entitlement, and SUCK IT.

People -- including myself -- work very hard to EARN a place in medical school. We do not expect medical schools to just throw themselves at us.

Unless you promise to donate a few hundred million dollars to the medical research institution of your choice, there is no way a medical school will admit you not matter what.

Wanna know what it takes to go to medical school? Go to a decent undergraduate university. Look up "matriculation rates" -- higher-tier universities tend to have higher matriculations rates into graduate/professional programs (like medicine or law). I went to Berkeley and worked my butt off while I was there. Take med school pre-req classes. Get good grades. Think 3.5 or higher GPA for your science courses. Take the MCAT and score at least straight 10s, and "O" on essay. Be sharp during your interview. Then you're in.

Frankly, your gimme-gimme-gimme attitude is extremely unbecoming of a physician.

So typical of wannabe doctors. Do you know that most sophomore medical students would prefer to be studying something else?

The premed advisers at the schools you investigate will know enough to give you good advice. It is a trade off. If you have unlimited money your choice will be different. If you have the ability to memorize endless amounts of trivia you will do well. If you join the National Guard they will help pay for most of your schooling. They will train you to be a medic which is the core of helping people in emergency situations.

You can't go wrong w/an Ivy league name under your belt. However...don't fall into the trap that going to undergrad means you automatically get into the grad school. That happened to me (& just about all of my friends) in regards to law school.
