I have a PayPal account with some money in it. Before 9/16, it was unlimited, while I was working on getting a bank account set up. At 9/16, I got a notice from PayPal saying that I have to update my account before it's limited. So I did my password and profile. But I couldn't do the bank account nor debit card. A week after, I went back to Paypal to do the bank account. But it wouldn't let me do it. It said it was limited and wouldn't let me set me up and verify the account. Now I can't take money out or add new things to it. Can you help? I'm a first time Pay Pal user.

1st of all where did this notice come to? Your email? Asking you to do something you had already done? Very very possible it was a spoof email. And if you did click a link in it and enter you passy and other info, you could be in trouble. Best thing to do right now is contact you bank. Put a hold on all your funds should anyone else have gotten a hold of this info. Next contact paypal to be sure there was no unathorized activity on your account. Have them straighten things out.
Then you will most likely need to update it, depending on what you are using it for. Ebay, buying, selling? ect.
Hope this helps.
And one more thing. Always type www.paypal.com directly into your web address browser yourself. NEVER click on links in email. And look at the top when you get to the website to verify the correct site. As you can also get a phiser/spoof site.
