Foley admitted that he is gay and that he has an alcoholism problem. He also admitted to being sexually abused as a boy.
I believe this is not an issue of being Republican or Democrat, although, those who are Democrat are making a big issue. I think this is an issue of a person who has allowed his circumstances to cloud his moral actions and judgement.
The Democrats are just as guilty of this. Case in point, Bill Clinton and his sexual escapades. I think that if you look at both sides of the table you will see that with many politicians the old adage "Absolute power corrupts absolutely".

But also agree...it's not just a Rep thing, there are Dem's that have also been caught or admitted doing these type of things with minors.
I personally think it will get worse(re: Foley) before it gets better.

The same thing I think of the Democrat, Barney Frank, allowing a gay prostituion ring involving boys, to operate from within his aparment, while having the pimp on his payroll as his personal assistant..
They are both disgusting! Thank goodness the Republicans boot out the perverts from among them, unlike the dems who coddle them and keep re-electing them.

They're disgusting, but not as disgusting as a congressman actually having sex with an underage male page (Gerry Studds) or running a prostitution ring out of their home in DC (Barney Frank).
