I have been through this process and it is a long and tedious one. Dont get discouraged though. You file with the District Attorney. They will contact you with a court date and they will summons the other parent to come to court also. You might end up going to court 2 or 3 times. They will then issue a child support order based information given to them. They move very slow though so exercise your patience.

Well,just so you know,you have to claim that as income,and can be fined,and/or imprisoned for not paying taxes on that income.
