is it true that anyone born in the year 1992 and beyond can't get their license until they are 18? If so how can up with this and why?

That varies from state to state. Many states have instituted a graduated licensing program for drivers under 18. You're usually restricted in the number of non-family passengers you can carry as well as the hours that you may operate.

The states came up with this because young drivers have the worst driving records statistically due to their relative inexperience. Although you can learn what you need to pass the test in 20 or so hours of instruction and practice, it takes several years of experience to become a GOOD driver.

The driving age is regulated by each state in the US. Some states give out their license as early as 15 or 16 and other states do not until 18 years of age. It all depends on where you live.

it depends what state you live in. in my state u can get your licnse when your 16 but in a state like new york, you have to b 18

This is not true in United Kingdom, you can get your licence at 17, or 16 if you are disabled.
