When does wwe and tna have tapings?
TNA’s Impact Show and WWE’s Smackdown and sometimes ECW are not shown live on TV. When you watch the show on TV, you are not watching it live. What you are watching is events took place at a previous time in front of a live crowd and were recorded. In terms of WWE, Smackdown is generally on a Tuesday night. If you get tickets for a Smackdown show you will go to the arena and watch the events on a Tuesday night. That show is recorded by WWE and broadcast on TV on a Friday night. ECW is generally taped before or after a Smackdown show and is shown on TV on the Tuesday night. Raw is the only show that is both taped and shown at the same time. When you are watching Raw you are watching it in real time. There may be a delay of a few seconds but what you see is taking place at that time. With Raw there is no room for editing of mistakes. With Smackdown, ECW and Impact, the post-production team can change things. They can add in crowd noises, they can edit mistakes, they can change camera angles etc. With TNA, they have one taping per month where they tape 3 shows of Impact. In the case of TNA, yes, wrestlers work more than one match a night.

Why does tna have more than 1 taping in a day?
TNA is always taped in the same location, the Impact zone in Florida. This is unlike WWE whose shows are in different arenas and cities every week. By having only one taping a month and taping three weeks of television at one time, it cuts down dramatically on both travelling costs and the travelling the wrestlers have to make. In essence, wrestlers in TNA have a much lighter workload. With the exception of a PPV which is always taped live, both in TNA and WWE, TNA wrestlers only work one day in a month. This is one of the reasons Kurt Angle and Christian joined TNA.

Without addressing your questions, I think that my explanation will help you to understand how tapings work.

WWE always has a live show for Raw every Monday (in whatever city they happen to be in). Smack Down is taped the next night and shown on TV on Fridays. ECW has a live show on Tuesdays and is also presented on TV live, the same night. Houseshows are NEVER taped. These shows occur on the weekends.

TNA only tapes their shows one (1) day every three (3) weeks. This way, they have enough footage to last for three weeks and then it's time for them to tape again. They too, will have houseshows when they travel, but these are never televised.

Both WWE & TNA have one (1) live pay-per-view a month in whatever city they happen to be in.

All of the wrestling web-sites have numerous people who attend the different shows, and send in the results to the wrestling web-site to be posted for all shows. Most of these "reporters" are regular fans.

I hope that I've been able to help you understand how the wrestling companies operate their show schedules. Have a lovely rest of the day.

I always read what happens on Smackdown instead of watching it.
