She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Cyril Dandridge and Ruby Jean Butler, both of whom were african-american. Her parents split up five months prior to her birth. She had one sister, Vivian.
She isn't bi-racial at all.

Oh hun, mulatto father and jamaican mother (i believe) by the way, we are all mixed with something. Neither of us are of a pure race anymore ever.
