I am thinking of buying one (80GB), but don't like to wear headphones. Can I hear the sound without them? Does it have a built in speaker?

you probably should get speakers to listen to your ipod. it doesn't have built in speakers. you could also get wireless headphones if you just don't like being attached...also, there is such thing as an iTrip where you can listen to your iPod on the radio. it's very cool...but no there is no built in speakers....hope this helps! o x

I have an iHome on my desk which is a clock radio. In my car I have the iTrip which allows me to listen to the iPod through the car's speaker system (or any other stereo for that matter) by tuning in to an unused frequency. There are a number of various "toys" out there in which to amplify the sound of your iPod. Just type in iPod on yahoo! shopping or even amazon or ebay. You'd be surprised at how much is out there!

i'm undecided what you mean by potential of radio. there is not any FM radio on an iPod touch, yet some apps enable you to hearken to internet radio. yet an iPod touch can play song in a dock that performs song out of your iPod, with headphones, or without headphones.

There are numerous portable speakers for ipod, but not included. You can get ones made by apple or by companies like Nexxtech and Logitech.

no way!! Except if you buy an external speakers, which takes space (the bigger the speakers are, the better the quality sounds)
