No...anything added to the Constitution is considered an amendment. Laws are simply created on either the state (just pertains to that state) or Federal (pertains to all states) levels. Any change in the Constitution or amendment has to pass the judicial branches and is much more complicated than just introducing a law to Congress or at the state level.

No.

The Constitution is the document that creates the Federal Government. It is not intended to create any obligation or restriction for private individuals, other than qualifications to hold office.

Within the Constitution is the authority for the Legislature (the combined two houses of Congress) to create the laws. These laws are not PART of the Constitution, they are a separate document that MUST comply with the limitations of authority set forth therein.

The law is subordinate to the Constitution, as is everything which it creates, which includes (in theory, if not in practice) the Supreme Court of the United States.

The Constitution is the pinnacle of legal authority in the US, there is nothing higher. It's a relatively short and simple document, which you are almost certainly mature and intelligent enough to read and understand without anyone's help.

Please do so. Our form of government depends on as many people as possible knowing what the Constitution says.

No.
The state/federal legislature have the ability to make laws for their respective constitutents. Laws can also be derived by the judicial branch of each state/federal (courts). Supreme court justices hear cases that are suppossed to have violated the constitution of the state/county, and make judicial decisions. The decision is the result, in most cases, of an introduction to a new law.

The U.S. Constitution basically states the basic rights of U.S. citizens, Bill of Rights. It is, "the law of the land." Each state has their own constitution which would define some of the more complex laws in detail. Acts of legislation that are approved are laws and they must adhere to the constitution, otherwise they will be contested in court.

Certainly not. The Constitution can only be added to by the passage of an amendment, which is considerably more difficult than passage of a simple law. Federal laws are compiled in the United States Code. When people speak of "Title IX" or "Section" whatever of the law, they are referring to parts of the United States Code.

There are no laws in the constitution. There are amendments which state peoples rights as a U.S. citizen. Laws are created to help provide people with those rights and to keep people from infringing on others rights.

you know the amendments? they were laws that had to be added as time went on. i think there are like 21 or 22 now, but it's only added if it's a national law, not just a state law. it also has to be approved by a 2/3 vote in congress.

Nope. Not even close. The constitution contains amendments, which state our rights.

If you can get your hands on an older cartoon called School House Rock, it would help you out. It makes it all into a song and it will get stuck in your head and you will remember it, I promise. We used to watch it in school to help us remember the way all of that works. Try it, I hope it helps you too
