I used to make trips (by myself) from the northern end of California to the Southern part of California (Eureka to San Diego) when my boyfriend was stationed at Camp Pendleton in one day, about a 12-13 hour trip. At least I got to go fast on boring I-5!!!

In 1969 I drove straight through from Ukiah, CA to Benton, AR. to see my little sister that moved there aftere she got married. I stopped for gas only. Dumbest thing I ever did.
About 2200 miles and took 36 or 37 hours, don't remember for sure. I had a 1969 V.W. and my white german sheppard.

20 hours from northern Illinois to Tampa, Florida.
Central IL on down to mid-Tennessee is the most boring part of the United States.

Chattanooga, TN back to Northwest Indiana. It is only 8 hours but with a 2-year-old, it was bad. We broke it up on the way down...why we didn't do that on the way back...must've been out of our minds!

One day, I drove from Laramie, Wyoming to Fayetteville, Arkansas. Can't remember exactly how long it took, but my tail end was definitely sore when I finally got out of the car.
