Revenge is pay back for a real or most often imagined wrong
that an individual feels has been committed against his person.
Justice, is something that we all hope for, fair and impartial
treatment under the law of the land.

Justice has to do with something being judged by the majority of a particular society as having a "morally right" outcome. Revenge on the other hand, disregards moral judgement, and is about retaliation. For example if someone beats you in a sporting game, you can get 'revenge' by beating them the next time you play. If a gang memeber is shot, by a police officer, during the execution of a crime, the gang may retaliate, or get revenge, by shooting another police officer a some other time. Revenge does not take into account whether it's cause is "just" or not.

Justice holds the scales and allows evidence to be heard, then a verdict is reached. Revenge throws a brick on one side of the scale; based on an emotional, irrational decision; and therefore decides, his or hers own verdict, for the fate of the accused. So my question, is it any wonder our judicial system is so horribly flawed? Consider some points. 1. Would true justice make a higher paid attorney necessary? 2. How about plea bargains and payoffs? 3. Would drunk drivers still be found guilty of an accident, even when the testimonies of eyewitnesses say the fault was the other drivers? Just a couple things to think about.

Justice is when the wronged party asks for a judge or legal party to intervene on their behalf. Even if it results in the death or maiming of the other person, it does not count as Revenge. Revenge is when the wronged party goes above the judicial system and seeks to take matters into his own hands.

An example would be breaking up with a boyfriend: Justice would be he writes you a sad letter telling you how you have broken his heart and he will always love you.
Revenge is correcting his spelling and punctuation and posting it on the bulletin board at school. "A" for content, "F" for form!
Another example would be getting divorced.
Justice would be each party got half of the stuff, and could walk away as friendly but moving forward.
Revenge would be taking everything he owns and burning it, and burying the ashes, and using your half to get breast implants to entice his daddy to have sex with you on the dining room table, while your ex- is eating dinner.
Another example would be buying a car:
Justice would be affording the car you want, and bringing it home.
Revenge would be running over the cheating bas&^% and then allowing it to be reposessed, to injure him AND ruin his credit.
See? Justice is equal treatment, meeting ill with equal results. Cause and effect.
Revenge is "bi-polar justice." You talk ugly to me and I will kill your mother's dog.

justice is an outcome of law that is fair and reasonable and takes into account the parties concerned. i assume revenge to be emotionally and morally driven, which would make the two concepts very similar in their purposes. however i feel that revenge is an outcome that is beyond reasonableness and can be done at different levels depending on the individual carrying it out.

It depends on the immediate attitude and relationship between the plaintiff and the accused. Justice is when the outcome is based on a neutral ,unbiased investigation and revenge is when human nature can't take any more pressure and retaliates.

Courts of law developed from the idea of exacting revenge in the name of the King to stopm blood feuds, so Justice is, in fact, intertwined with revenge.

Justice is realized by judge while revenge is realized by person if he does not want justice to work.
