It is based on 900. Wow 851! The highest I have seen was 824, and have been in finance for over 15 years.

Where did she get the score? FICO scores go up to 850. If she got her score anywhere other than www.myfico.com, odds are very good that she got a fake score. That score could be +/- 100 points from her real score. Other scores that you get from the individual CRAs or from the random "check your score" sites are based on THEIR calculations which are not the same as FICO. So, if she wants to know her real FICO score she should get it from www.myfico.com. However, scores only matter if she will be applying for a loan soon. With a score that high, no matter where she got it, her credit is good so I wouldn't worry too much about the score.

Congratulation!! I just applied for a car loan and my credit score is 851, lots of people at the dealer never seen this score......
