I'm still growing, and a few are:
HIM
Aiden
Avenged Sevenfold
AFI

I love all those bands. They're inspirational to me in so many ways.

I would probably say New Order and The Smiths. My mum played these when I was little and they're now two of my favourite bands, and they influenced my music tastes to the point where I'm heavily into the Manchester scene and also much of the 80s stuff like Depeche Mode. Brilliant lyrics, powerful message. Great

Being a female who grew up in the 80s I'd have to say Madonna. I was never a massive fan of her music but when you're age between 11 and 15 any woman who seemed to be making her own way however she wanted really appealed and I honestly think she made a lot of young girls think we could be strong and independant. The original girl power if you like but in a far more genuine way.

311 and the Chili Peppers.
the first rock video that i watched and really liked was "Give it away"

As a musician, Flea is my biggest influence on bass. i love his style punk/funk.

the first rock band that i really got into was 311. they are still my favorite band of all time. I've only been to 2 of their concerts and i consider them some of the best experiences of my entire life

311's blue album and grassroots are the soundtrack to some of the best moments of my life. I play certain songs and i'm taken back to those times.

I had little contact with music as a child, my family only had music on in the car when we were going on our summer holidays and the TV was on all the time so the radio was always off.
In my late teens I began to buy and listen to music. Jethro Tull is the band that has had the biggest impact on my life.
