I was having a discussion in work about this today and no-one can actually name any superheroes other than hetero ones. I was wondering if they are actually out there or whether any of the well known ones have been 'outted'.

X men - Northstar is gay. There is someone else in Ultimate X men who was gay (I think Colossus but I can't quite remember) I do remember that they both seem to fancy Iceman in each of their different comics.

If you look at Japanese manga then there are loads of examples. Two of the girls from Sailor Moon are a couple (in the dubbed version they were changed to be cousins). Quatre from Gundam Wing is gay he's totally in love with Trowa, just not entirely sure whether Trowa is or not (Can't quite work out whether he is dating Katherine or Quatre at the end of it, possibly both).

Northstar from Alpha Flight/X-Men is gay, Superman is a closet gay, Cyclops is a closet gay (he is, have you all seen Emma Frost? he is only with her to get people to love him), Mystique is a bisexual (she and Irene Adler were more than just friends), Jubilee and M from X-Men might be in the closet, Callisto is bisexual, and Archlight is a lesbian. Ace and Gary from the Abiguously Gay Duo, Supergirl is a closet lesbian, Wonder Woman is bisexual (hello, she comes from a race of all females), Batwoman is a lesbian (I did not see this one coming), and Colossus from Ultimate X-Men was said to be in the closet.

In the original Japanese (teenage-aimed) version of Sailor Moon, Sailor Jupiter and Venus are actually a couple, but in the childrens English dub, they are made out to be twin sisters.
