Oh. My. GOD!! I loved it, i tried to find it on the net recently and could only find little snippets!! I think the original bbc tapes have been destroyed too, so no chance of a digitally remastered version coming to dvd any time soon!!!
I remember sitting in my moms living room, being fascinated by every bit of it. The tokens (drogmas??), the vortex, the talking aspidistra, that game where they had to memorise their steps across a board of brightly coloured shapes!!! Oh,and Keith Chegwin!!!!
Thank you so much for that trip down memory lane!!!

The only bit i remember is the plant from the end with the vortex and the zig zag type thing they had to work their way across! I think i remember maggie philbin being got by the vortex ones!

also the noise of the angry plant, if you growl deep in your throat and vary it while moving your finger up and down on your lips, you can replicate it perfectly!

Sure do! It was essential viewing in our household as kids. If I remember rightly it was shown on BBC2, and it was different "celebrities" of their day that was on it. I remember the newsreader Moira Stewart being on it and also Keith Chegwin. The end game was the vortex, which, being a kid, frightened me when it got someone. There was also another end game they had before that one, which involved multi-coloured squares and yet again you were playing against the peed off plant. Didn't they also have a currency called "drogna" or something very similar to that? And, of course, it was all set on the planet Aarg. I'm sure it was repeated on satellite channel "challenge tv" about 3yrs ago. Classic tv!!!!

Bits of it sound widely used, nevertheless i won't piece all of it 2gether, 2 provide a million particular answer. yet i will tell u what i assumed. The bit appropriate to the soup & letters, feels like Funhouse, with Pat Sharpe, on CITV (do u bear in mind the blonde twins? I heard that they went on 2 a profession contained in the porn industry). The bit approximately occurring a strengthen, on many tiers, sounds in basic terms like Finders Keepers, with Neil Buchanan (i think of. he's the brown haired guy who did artwork attack), additionally on CITV. desire i've got delivered back some memories, whether they do no longer seem to be the superb 1s!
