This is just a hypothetical question. I have heard that someday the political leaders of Mexico, Canada and the US want to join to make a nation called the North American Union. To have open boarders, unified money, etc. I don't see how this could possibly work, but do you think it could ever happen?

Given our countries' current economic standings, I can't see it happening any time soon. The burden on the US and Canada to truly make Mexico an economic equal would be too great.

But, they are laying the groundwork for it already, and I can certainly see it happening in a few generations. If it was a merger of equals, it would be a great benefit to all three.

I think it is highly unlikely. There are claims that President Bush is an advocate of such an alliance. The theory is we would be better able to compete with a united Europe.

I am in favor of putting fences on both borders.

I doubt I will see it in my life time, but I say it is possible.

Not likely in my opinion. We would gain nothing from that situation.

It will not happen. I'm a liberal and even I think that is a bad idea.
