Yes I think men are far more trustworthy with the male contraceptive pill than a woman because men have more to loose if a woman becomes pregnant.

A woman has a choice to use emergency contraception or have an abortion if she does not want the child, but in the end men do not have this option if their female partner falls pregnant, and men have a lot more to loose because men are still expected to provide for both woman and child/children if she falls pregnant. A man is considered less of a man if he does not stand by the woman and child, if he cannot provide them with the money needed throughout the child's life by any means possible, thus a man has more to loose if he forgets to use contraception.

There are also women in this world who are very underhanded and will get themselves pregnant on purpose in order to keep a man with her, a lot of women are also not as educated or responsible as they should because our society encourages women to simply pop the pill rather than focus on how conception occurs or how their bodies function so on average women are ignorant about these things.
A lot of men do not feel it is their responsibility to learn these things either; however one would hope if they are using male contraceptives like these then they would take the time to understand how they work, there is less preventing men from educating themselves then women when we look at things from a sociological point of view.

Of course there are men who are not responsible when it comes to condoms, that is however more an issue for both partners being irresponsible than solely the man's irresponsible behaviour, if using the pill a man would have sole responsibility so would take things more seriously – the pill does tend to be something within long-term relationships.

The male pill has a lot less side effects then the pill for women, within women the pill suppresses natural menstrual cycles which in and of itself is an issue because it means there is less predictability when it comes to the possibility of conception, it also means a woman is cut off from learning about her bodies natural cycles. In suppressing the menstrual cycle there are also knock on effects on the rest of the body in that the menstrual cycle and hormones involved effect the female body on the whole, there are a whole host of side effects of female contraceptive pill, many of which are not even mention or known to all doctors. So if the male pill does not carry such high risks it is a lot better for the woman and the couple to have the male take control of the contraception in this way then the woman.

I don't think women, or even some men, give men enough credit to believe they are capable of remembering to take the pill daily as they should, I think this is a sad reflection on the state of men and social issues regarding birth control.

I also think you have to consider that if you could not trust your male partner to take the pill then what makes you think that he should trust you to take the pill or use other forms of birth control, also why would you be with someone you do not trust to be responsible when it comes to sex or life?

It would depend on the guy, but I know I'm not that good at remembering to take it, so will he be? I don't think so. Why don't you try a different contraception. There is the pill patch, you only have to change this once a week, or the coil. I'm sure if you go to the family planning clinic they can give you other ideas.

No No No!!!! I would not trust a man with the male pill, some of them can't even remember what you said to them 60 seconds ago, so how the hell are they going to remember to take a daily pill (smile)

I would trust my hub to take it, [I'd make sure], but as for a "male pill" I don't know whether I would trust the whole concept of it. Maybe in a few years when it has been tried and tested for a while.

Men would be much more reliable than you ladies! I'm not being arrogant, I just presume there is some kind of gadgety dispenser thing with lights and a status screen? If it gave points for remembering to take it though, there is a chance the human race would be wiped out!!!

adult males can not be depended directly to take into consideration to apply the pill, i do no longer think of in spite of if it does not be as intrusive as a condom that they could experience that it is the girl's responsiblity. besides in case you have been relationship you're able to nonetheless could desire to apply condoms to offer your self with protection against different issues.

No, because we are the ones that carry the baby for nine months not them. Alot of guys don't have enough responsibility to think about taking a pill everyday.

I definitely would not trust a guy who said he was on the pill especially if I had not known him long.
