Buy something educational and fun at the same time. Your partner would probably like that a lot and his brother just might learn something from you. It's always good to have the kids looking up to you,, rather than down on ya! -- Good Luck

I found that there are a lot of kids into the online video games. How you get them to not just gel on you is to sit near them and ask them questions about what they are doing. If he's even into it, he will show you various parts of the land, and wht people are doing, ask everything about everywhere. They are quite candid and will enjoy that immensely. To have an adult actually inquire and show interest in what they like to do, and not tell them to get off of it, is typically rare and empowering to them.
Otherwise, you do what it is you do. Motorcycles, cars, video cameras, whatever, and if it's something beyond the norm of what they do, he might find it interesting. Look at his reaction to see if it's meeting up to his interest.

7 y/o's are into video games. go rent an age apropriate game for him. other than that its whatever types he likes im thinking he's alittle old for chutes and ladders and games like that.

My daughter and I LOVE the game Skipbo. It's by the people who make Uno. I LOVE this game!!! It's addictive. My daughter is 11 and she caught onto it pretty quick.
